Friends World Committee for Consultation World Office has created this blog to help spread information about the current situation in Kenya, and the various initiatives that are springing up to provide both short-term and long-term support.

How to help
Friends have been contacting the World Office asking how they can help in the current emergency, and with peace and reconciliation in the longer term.
Immediate relief is being provided by several organisations, including the Kenyan Red Cross, which is accepting donations online. Doctors Without Borders is also active in the area and accepting donations.
Donations are also being welcomed by the African Great Lakes Initiative and Friends United Meeting. Read more about those two organisations and what they are doing by following the links.
And of course FWCC is accepting donations for our ongoing work in the region, as well as for the projects arising from the recent Quaker Peace Conference.
Another blog that you may find useful is Updates On Kenya. It has advice on how your giving can be done most effectively, and a lot of interesting and useful background information.
